Here is my finished entry for the Christopher Hart Contest #4:
I think it took about 4.5 hours to complete all three drawings and upload them to the computer. The 3/4 turn was definitely the hardest! I have enjoyed working with the markers, but it is more time consuming than using the computer. I will post any feedback I get from my drawing after the contest has ended.
Another one of my favorite Arcana tracks.
A short video about Dracula’s forefathers with super neat animations!
I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! I did some fun drawings for the occasion. Technology pending, they will be colored and uploaded soon!
There can’t be anything more terrifying to an aspiring writer than having your first born draft exposed and in the hands of a team of readers (other than your mother). It has to feel similar to someone rummaging through one’s purse or being naked in public.
It’s time to get serious. I need to know if my story is something that people will enjoy reading, or if I’m wasting my time. I’ve gotten great feedback so far on the story and illustrations on my blog. Can the story sustain itself in a novel format? No matter what, I will continue to write, draw, and update this blog. But now you see what has been keeping me away from the online graphic series – this novel. And, well, an adequate amount of self-doubt.
So, we’ll see what they have to say. I’ve enlisted a group of trusted friends and fans, avid readers and fellow writers. People I know who will be ruthlessly honest. And that is REALLY SCARY!
In the meantime, please enjoy this awesome video from last year. I would like to do one more illustration for the blog of someone who is already dead (SPOILER ALERT!) in this video…if you’ve been following the story! 😉
You can be a beta-reader too! Chapter One is almost entirely posted already! Feedback is always welcome!
